I am a listener, strategist and champion for my coaching clients - enabling them to be clearer and more confident about the path ahead.I am also a confident and engaging event host, with more than three decades experience / public profile as a live TV and Radio News presenter, political and foreign correspondent at the BBC. COACHINGI have years of experience coaching clients developing leadership skills at the BBC. Today I’m an associate career coach for dynamic, inclusive organisations; and work privately with individual clients on career progress, life balance and “big picture” life goals. I have a Masters in Science (distinction) in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. I am an AC accredited Executive Coach, qualified coaching supervisor, and a published academic researcher.PRESENTINGI work on events that fascinate and stretch me - and hopefully the audience! Recent examples include chairing the AUDE 2024 conference on UK universities and sustainability, chairing the BBC’s “Trust in News” and “Climate Creatives” conferences in 2022 and 2023; hosting podcasts for Intelligence Squared; and presenting events at the Science Museum, Cambridge Zero, the Oslo Freedom Forum, the British Library, and the Milken Institute.
