I've dedicated my life to serving those who have served our country because it's personal.The military has been a part of my life since I was young. My grandfather was a World War II Navy Sailor and my father served 25-years as a United States Marine, serving in Vietnam & Desert Storm. Then I, myself, joined the United State Marine Corps after high school.Growing up between duty stations as a child and into my adulthood, I know and have seen the sacrifice a family makes for a military members service career. Spouses and children are figuring out life in new territories and cities, while the service member continues their duty to our country.In 2003, I got into the mortgage industry and learned about the VA Home Loan Benefit - a benefit that our service men and women have earned. 100% financing, no money down, to own a piece of the country they've defended.In 2005 I was asked to speak at a brown bag luncheon for approximately 75 Air National Guardsman at the Mamala Bay dining facility on Hickam AFB. After 2 hours of giving information and answering questions I realized how little veterans knew about their VA Home Loan Benefit. Shortly after, I created a place for veterans to learn about their benefit and the real estate market for free called VA Loans Hawaii. Our slogan hung as "You served our country. Now let us serve you." The VA Loan Hawaii model has grown. I now have the privilege to teach free VA Home Loan Benefit seminars around the country.I am also certified by the National Association of Realtors to teach on the Military Relocation Professionals Designation. As well as certified to teach continuing education classes on the VA Home Loan Benefit for the real estate licensee in Hawaii, Texas, and Tennessee (more states to come).
