Data Scientist
• Collaborated with Tech, Operations, Compliance and Marketing teams to stand up new Operations experiments that drove over $16 mil in incremental cash collected (~5% lift) - Developed proposals for executive approval of experiments which included sample size calculations, impact analysis, and metric guardrails - Collectively implemented 20+ calling, field visiting, emailing and texting collections experiments - Analyzed test results to determine best treatment and then iterating and testing optimized treatments• Maintained a git repository of all production code used in our DS Ops tests, processes, monitoring and alerts - Created SQL stored procedures that identify eligible populations and coded business logic to target customers for our multiple A/B Tests - Worked to establish framework for rigorous QA process with detailed documentation, ended to end testing, and post production validation for new experiments and incremental changes to existing processes• Developed an SMS subscription process that collects data from many different sources and has logic to accurately track a customers SMS opt-in status in order to stay legally complaintIdentified several data issues and collaborated with Technology teams to implement solutions - Found a previously unexplained issue that had slowly been affecting the performance of our Ops department and worked with software engineers to create a reliable solution - Discovered and, with the help of database engineers, quickly implemented a solution for a process that had been improperly updating relevant populations of customers saving the company from further losing money• Worked closely with Technology and Operations to design and QA the implementation of an automated business process that was formerly manual - Helped design a solution for integrating a data science testing process with a new tech process - Developed QA of the new process to ensure it was accurately replicating the old process
