My inspiration to study engineering was sparked at the age of four when I learned how to use a computer. In my years in Scholastica I loved reading about physics knowing more about the universe.I have participated in annual science fairs with my friends where we used to spend hours developing and perfecting project models. I have multilingual skills where I can speak English, Bengali, Hindi and demonstrate limited understanding in Urdu. Volunteering at British Heart Foundation helped me develop my communication and teamwork skills. I strengthened my ability to do mental mathematical calculations by participating in ALOHA Mental Arithmetic for 3 years and participated in a competition where I had to solve hundreds of mental calculations in a couple minutes. At the same time I attended Shanto Marium Foundation and Bangladesh Bulbul Lalitakala Academy (BAFA) where I received certificate of excellence for my portfolios in music, canvas painting,glass painting and clay modelling.In my high school years I participated in Gold Duke of Edinburgh. That was a huge responsibility which required substantial a commitment, meeting deadlines and be organized in plans and expedition, as well as working productively as a team member. In the 5th year of secondary school I had been a Prefect. In my last year I have representing the school as Deputy House Captain; working closely with teachers, hosting various school events, making presentations and speeches in assemblies.I have worked at Magikats- Maths and English tuition centre before working with tutoring companies such as MyTutor,GoStudent,Tutorful; have I a great experience. Being at one of the most competitive tutoring platforms in United Kingdom I had the opportunity to work with different exam boards with students all across Britain. Being regarded as the top tutors by parents and students it allowed me to analytical and think critically working on a time frame to cover concepts and organise lesson-space specific to each individual student. My ambition to study engineering became more of a reality when I got offer from Heriot-Watt University to study Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. Pursuing my passion in engineering also gives me an promising future full of possibilities. I have showed dedication, leadership, responsibility, and consistency in my work which I believe is essential to working with people, industries and firms. Hoping to work closely with engineering firms and industries in the upcoming years and further gain more knowledge and experience as an engineering student.
