As a scientist in the field of immunology and tumor biology and with expertise in pharmacology I can validate novel targets for immunotherapy. Originally I was trained as a pharmacist and became passionate about research and teaching therefore i joined the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Khartoum, Sudan as a Teaching Assistant. When i started my Masters degree at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Khartoum, i developed an interest in understanding the mechanism of action of drugs. I decided to carry out my PhD studies in Germany to expand my knowledge in tumor immunology and cancer biology at the group of Professor Thomas Brunner at the Chair of Biochemical Pharmacology, Department of Biology, University of Konstanz, Germany. I gained a lot of knowledge in researching for a novel therapeutic target for the treatment of colorectal cancer that made me more eager to learn about cell death and tumor immunology. I also enjoyed teaching and supervising research projects of Bachelor and Master students. I joined the group of Professor Stephen Tait a world-leading scientist in the field of mitochondria and cell death to start an exciting project of targeting immunogenic cell death for the treatment of prostate cancer aiming at providing a novel adjuvant therapy that hopefully help to treat advanced prostate cancer
