HESSA is a partnership between the USAID and Government of Pakistan with objective to increase employability of the Pakistani workforce through trainings/capacity building to improve higher education graduates’ capacity, relevance, adequacy and inclusivity. I work closely with higher education stakeholders and 16 partner universities to provide overall support in implementing project workplan and trainings, directly contribute to enhancing student support services component, which is working across six focal areas: financial aid, career services, student leadership, alumni development, student entrepreneurship/microenterprise development, and mental health. An effective team member for higher education work in Pakistan, has been instrumental in establishing working relations with higher education partners and 16 public universities. Supporting technical team leads in working closely with the leadership, faculty, and staff of universities and to co-create work plans to strengthen student affairs offices offering support services, that include important domains which can positively impact student experiences across their university life cycle and equip graduating students with soft skills to make them better employable or entrepreneurs.Established and supporting the first of its kind communities of practice across various focal areas, comprising faculty members, leaders, and administrative staff from 16 public HEIs, sharing their learning, experiences, best practices, and collaborate for enhancing student support services. In addition to in-person and virtual trainings and technical support, successfully conducted three annual summits with all partners and international experts, co-facilitated strategic planning for HEIs, co-created program areas, and facilitated technical sessions. The Project is positioned to deliver demand-driven trainings that harness the full range of participant training resources that contribute towards the capacity development of partners across the Mission’s portfolio.I am leading and supervising a program team of eight members, and directly working to design and implement numerous programs across the Mission development objectives for Pakistan, including trainings for the ministries (Human Rights and Commerce); government institutions; academic programs; adolescent girls’ education and technical trainings (Let Girls Learn-Pathways to Success); youth internship; and civil society organizations. I am also involved in the functioning of USAID Alumni Association and Small Grants Program for the USAID Alumni. I am responsible for conducting the working group quarterly meetings of the USAID implementing partners, and sharing knowledge and best practices of the Participant Training processes, TraiNet and Automated Directive Systems (ADS 252 and 253). Democracy Reporting International (DRI) was provided a grant by the European Union (EU) to support Pakistan’s national Parliament and the Provincial Assemblies in undertaking electoral reform to meet international standards. Working at DRI, I gained valuable experiences about electoral reforms at the federal and provincial level; local government laws and elections; women in electoral process; and trainings of media reporting on elections.

PLSP was funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented under contract by Development Alternatives, Inc. (DAI) with local and international partners. The Project supported six assemblies for establishment of information, research and library services and ICT infrastructure, trainings on rule of business and budget processes, support to the standing committees, strategic plans for the Assemblies, and most importantly establishment of the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS) through an Act of Parliament. I contributed in overall programme implementation by closely working with the components’ managers and provincial coordinators for designing and implementing the programmes and training interventions. I was responsible for coordination of the steering committee meetings with the member of legislative assemblies, training facilitation for the parliamentarians and preparation of programme reports.
