Providing ongoing support for WinACC projects relating to energy efficiency/conservation and fuel poverty, including prospective funding applications, development of the new WinACC website and contribution of regular blog articles.

Providing advisory and practical support for Winchester Area SuperHomes (WASH) project.

November 2012 - delivered in-depth course on energy efficiency to energy professionals from across the EU. This was captured on video and is now offered by the European Energy Centre on an ongoing basis as a distance learning course for candidates anywhere in the world.

Winchester District

- Working alongside Winchester City Council and housing associations to support local social housing tenants with moving off expensive tariffs and prepayment meters, accessing energy-related financial support, helping with energy efficiency/conservation in their homes and making recommendations to the landlords for further improvements where appropriate;- Casework support and training for people who advise the public (and in particular the vulnerable and fuel-poor) on home energy;- Provision of information and advice on energy efficiency/management and renewable energy to the public through web pages and leaflets;- Impartial technical support for home-owners who want to organise energy-saving improvements and need bespoke advice about the appropriate measures and available funding

Development and management of Hampshire County Council Green IT strategy:• Collaboration with technical specialists in various technology areas relating to sustainable IT• Key role in developing corporate carbon strategy • Joint working with industry bodies Society of IT Management and Corporate IT Forum to share best practice on managing sustainable IT • Speaker at several national conferences on Green IT – audiences up to CEO level• Seminar speaker on Green IT for public sector organisations including Cabinet Office and Crown Prosecution Service• Sharing of best practice with other public- and private-sector organisations• Development of corporate Green IT metrics• Active membership of cross-departmental sustainability groups• Analysis and dissemination of smart meter data for Hampshire schools and corporate offices• Collaboration with Property Services and Carbon Trust on two schools energy reduction pilot schemes• Commissioning of two multi-school Carbon Trust surveys auditing energy usage• Work with several local schools and colleges to help develop energy strategy and support sustainability work• Management of IT sustainability communications, including media press releases, website design and management, magazine and internal newsletter articles
