About Asma Toorkham

With 13 years of experience in national and international NGOs focusing on Child and Women's issues, promoting Girls' Education, Research, Psycho-Social health, Mental Health & Emotional well-being, combating Child Marriage and Gender-Based Violence, Peace Building and Climate Crisis. I've monitored overall programs, developed progress reports and case studies, conducted focus group discussions and consultative workshops, and contributed to community development plans. My expertise spans program management, research, and psychological analysis, coupled with strong communication skills. I excel in liaising with government and stakeholders, assisting in project planning and implementation, drafting work plans and progress reports, and ensuring coordination within teams and across departments for effective project implementation.Since 2020, I have been a volunteer team member of the "Health Psychology Exchange" volunteer group of the British Health Psychology Society members & an active member of the South Asian Members UK Psychology Network. As part of my Social Contribution theme, I work on SDGs 3, 5, 13 & 16. Under that theme, I took a few initiatives, i.e.,.1. Plantation Drive - Planted 7,059 Saplings from 2018 to date2. More than 119 sessions and workshops/ training have been organized and delivered in relevant communities since 2018. ii.
