I have a comprehensive background in aeronautical and safety engineering, aviation/rail operations and human factors, and accident investigation techniques particularly site investigations, investigating human performance, interviewing techniques and analysis methods. I started my career as an air safety investigator at the National Transportation Safety Committee in Indonesia, which led me to Cranfield University to further my studies in Human Factors. My work at RGW Cherry & Associates shaped my understanding of safety & reliability assessments and rulemaking/certification processes in aviation. I then went to work in Cranfield as a Lecturer in Safety & Accident Investigation; however my research projects were focused on organisational safety culture and human factors engineering. I led a safety climate/culture assessment project at a UK airline; development and evaluation of an Enhanced Cockpit Decision Making system with Rolls-Royce and University of Southampton; development of the application of Machine Learning to support flight crew decision making in E-PILOTS (Clean Sky 2 Project) with partners from UAB Barcelona/CVC/ASLOGIC; and development and evaluation of human-machine interface for a novel powerplant management system with Rolls-Royce. At Lilium I will be supporting the design, testing and certification of the 7-seater Lilium Jet from Human Factors perspective.
