Lead the aquaponic demonstration facility in research and public outreach. Responsible for design, construction and operation of aquaponic production systems. Worked closely with other key personnel in system optimization in order to recommend least-cost, profitable commercial production systems for beginning farmers in order to reduce initial investment. Assisted in training of farmers in aquaponic production of finfish and vegetables.

Engineer schematics, builds, and operates integrated systems for the further development in aquaponic design for research as well as commercial use.

Conducted fish population surveys using a variety of collection gear. Performed boreal toad population surveys and took chytrid fungus samples from high alpine lakes. Full experience in backpack electrofishing, barge shocking, boat electrofishing, fish identification, coded wire tagging, CREEL surveys and data collection. Performed data entry and analysis.

Assisted with the maintenance of the Aquaponics facility. Helped with the cultivation of both Tilapia and Leafy Greens.

Assisted with the day to day maintenance and care of Boreal Chorus frogs, Tungara frogs, and Tungara tadpoles.

Experience with repairing/building barbed wire fence including hot wire fencing. Assisted with calving, branding, vaccinating, herding, and working cattle through chutes. Comprehensive experience operating Case 1394 Tractor while pulling a Vermeer R-23A Rake. Operated Quicke Q970 MX0125 Tractor stacking, pulling, and bailing hay.

Assisted in the cultivation of rainbow trout. Managed warm water species including large/small mouth bass, crappie, blue gill, carp, fathead minnows, shiners, and channel catfish. Worked closely with public delivering fish to customer’s ponds, lakes, and streams.
