My primary goal was to solve various cloud service resource management problems and publish quality papers. The responsibility includes:-• Design and implementation of new data center and cloud service resource management systems in Java and C#. These systems were targeted to improve the load balancing efficiency and reduce the power consumption of cloud servers running XenServer 6.2.• Build simulator using Matlab and Java to emulate real-life scenarios.• Execute test cases on the system and simulator to prove the efficiency of the proposed systems.• Analyze the results and observations, present them in a paper for publication.I have also worked as a teaching assistant for the following graduate and undergraduate level computer science courses: Principles of Database Management Systems, Principles of Data Mining, and Foundations of Computer Security, Intro to Microcomputer Applications for Business, Data Analysis Lab, Computer Programming I, Computer Programming II.

Leading a team consisting of 11 software engineers and app designers. The team was responsible for design and implementation of The GRID Java client application. It is a location-centric social network for South Africa. Later, the team developed Legends of ECHO, an online multiplayer game using Java for mobile handset users. I have also actively participated in several other projects: FreeBeePay and AfriGIS Navigator.My Responsibilities: • Design and develop software solutions for mobile users on J2ME (A Java framework for mobile devices) and iOS platform.• Coordinate the collection of business requirements from the user. • Analyze the requirements and identify the corresponding system requirements. • Split the tasks among the team members. • Review and optimize the code and modules written by the team members. • Supervise the module integration in the main application.• Ensure that all the modules meet the specified technical requirements and the highest level of industry standard.I have also traveled to the AfriGIS, South Africa for three months (April 2010) as a specialist developer to supervise the deployment of Legends of ECHO and the development of AfriGIS Navigator iPhone application.

My role was to develop online Java application components (e.g., video streaming and active user cache management) for mobile handset users. My responsibilities also included design and development of rich UI for mobile applications in J2ME (a Java framework), reviewing and optimizing codes for other components.
