Alexander has over 15 years of experience in the Natural Resources sector, working in London, Sydney and the Middle East. He has been a trusted advisor to FTSE 100 companies' boards on significant capital decisions ($25bn in the last 3 years) and has run over $2bn of M&A transactions. He was part of the IPO team that listed MYCELX Technologies Corporation on AIM in August 2011 and has continued to support the company, most recently advising them on a strategic partnership with Schlumberger Cameron announced in June 2016. In December 2016, Alexander joined MYCELX as Director of Business Development in the Middle East and Asia. In March 2019, he was made Chief Business Development Officer whilst maintaining his presence in Saudi Arabia as General Manager.As Managing Director of Wittelsbach Consulting, he brings together a team of seasoned mining professionals and executives to undertake commercial and technical reviews for both miners or investors. By undertaking a holistic approach to asset reviews, Wittelsbach can unlock immediate EBITDA gains as well as position its clients to meet broader strategic/industry goals. Prior to these roles, he was an Executive Director and Board member of RFC Ambrian where his major achievement was running the 2013 Asset Review for Anglo American, which assessed all 90 assets within their portfolio. At RFC he also advised AngloGoldAshanti, Trafigura, Rio Tinto, First Quantum and Kingsgate Consolidated. He began his career working in teams on both the buyside and sellside and completed seventeen successful transactions including the acquisition of the Cullinan Diamond Mine from De Beers, the sale of Eland Platinum to Xstrata and the establishment of Dana Gas.
