Through my work I am trying to understand how Nature has developed a very efficient set of molecular machines called enzymes. I study them both experimentally as well as using simulations with a focus on developing atomic scale models which allow us to capture the key steps in enzyme functionality. The hope is to be able to develop a set of rules that can be used to engineer synthetic systems for use in chemical industries, water purification etc. I have collaborated with a wide array of international scientists and bring with me a strong set of quantitative skills to apply to biologically and chemically relevant problems
Listed skills include Python, Fortran, Spectroscopy, Computational Crystallography, and 8 others.
