In 2008, Asoke left Fluor Corporation to join Isolux Corsan, one of the largest Spanish companies in the sectors of Engineering, Construction, Concessions and Services and Renewable Energies, as Director of Engineering Division and served till May 2015. The Division along with performing engineering for various EPC projects had also been actively involved in the bidding / proposal efforts, with notable success in bagging two major Power Generation Projects in Bangladesh.

Following the end of the JV of DFD, he opted to join Fluor Corporation and worked as the Project Manager for the engineering efforts from New Delhi for the much acclaimed 2X800 MW Power Project for the Oak Grove Power Plant Project in Texas, USA. Before this, he led the engineering efforts for a number of projects in Kuwait involving multiple KNPC Refineries for which Fluor’s Haarlem office in The Netherlands provided basic engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services.

He left BHEL in 1997, to join Duke Flour Daniel (DFD a JV between Duke Energy and Fluor Daniel of USA) in India. His stay in DFD (1997 – 2003), involved engagement in several prospects / projects in India and US. The most noteworthy being the 2X250 MW Coal Based Power Project in Puerto Rico and the 520 MW Repowering Project in Seward, Pennsylvania in USA.

After completing his B.Tech from NIT-Durgapur in 1971, Asoke joined Indian Explosives limited Gomia as Engineer Trainee before switching over to SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant, then under construction.In 1976 he joined Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), the premier power Co. of India, involved in manufacturing entire range of power plant equipment and turnkey execution of power projects in India and abroad. During his association with BHEL along with the various Indian projects he had also been involved in turnkey execution of a number of overseas power projects. This gave him an opportunity to work with a number of foreign clients and consultants. The Ministry of Electricity, Cyprus accorded a special commendation for his role in Construction Management for the power plant at Dhakelia, Cyprus. He was also responsible for carrying out the engineering & design of the first in-country indigenous design of a 210 MW Turbo Generator Foundation for the Khaperkheda Power Plant in Maharashtra, which was reviewed and vetted by KWU, Germany.
