18 Reasons teaches food-insecure households to plan, buy, and cook good food on a limited budget. As Program Manager for 18 Reasons, I oversee and manage the Community Programs for San Francisco County. Through our Community Programs, we offer grocery donations paired with free cooking and nutrition classes to low-income families throughout the Bay Area. Our vision is to create equity and belonging through the transformative and healing power of home cooking.As Program Manager, my duties include: - Supervise a team of Program Coordinators and interns - Manage entire Community Programs volunteer department, including developing and implementing trainings, recruitment and outreach, staffing, and volunteer communications- Design, write, and send monthly newsletters - Manage all SF county partnerships - Plan and implement special events such as volunteer appreciation and training events- Identify and formally partner with appropriate community agencies through out San Francisco to host Cooking Matters courses and recruit course participants - Market our program in the community to build awareness, credibility, and demand - Support curriculum and resource development- Maintaining databases and facilitating external communications through Drupal, Civi CRM, Mosaico, Network for Good, and Salesforce - Collecting, managing, and analyzing program data - Create and lead company wide staff trainings- Presented a series of case studies at the California Department of Public Health CalFresh Healthy Living Conference in a session titled, “Facilitated Dialogue and Learner Centered Education”
