As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, I have provided support for students of varying age and need, managing a caseload of clients in both school and home settings. Beyond regular BCBA responsibilities (conducting assessments, writing behavior plans, conducting visual analysis and making data driven clinical decisions), I have taken on a number of administrative responsibilities when needed. These include arranging staffing in crisis situations and scheduling meetings with school district representatives. My core strengths are communication and rapport building, leadership, and creative decision making.

As a Registered Behavior Technician, I provided support in multiple settings including school, clinic, and in-home. I worked with numerous clients of varying levels of need from ages 2 to 16. I provided training and support for new employees beginning the process at RBTs.

I provided ABA services for children in both clinic and in-home settings, working under the supervision of a BCBA. I implemented behavior plans, recorded data, collaborated with BCBAs on creative solutions, and debriefed with parents daily.

I provided direct services to students with disabilities, assisting them in finding and keeping meaningful employment. This means that I provided "on the job" supervision for students with varying levels of functioning, both in a school setting as well as in the community. I also managed a caseload of students and wrote their vocational IEP goals, and worked within an interdisciplinary team towards providing the students with the best quality of life possible. In addition to this, I also worked closely with the department head while figuring out logistical concerns, as well as developing training materials for future employees of the Guild.

As a Teaching Assistant, I worked with a number of students aged 6 to 22 with mental health issues, autism, developmental disabilities, and emotional and behavioral challenges. I assisted with implementing IEP goals and related programming, as well as assisting in data collection for specified target behaviors. The students in this program were especially challenging behaviorally, and I have demonstrated the ability to work within a team during a crisis situation. Despite the physical challenges involved, this job was extremely rewarding, and I gained a firm understanding of the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).

While studying at the University of Rhode Island Providence Campus, I served as an advocate and mentor for other students. The campus population is typically non-traditional and diverse, and this job gave me the opportunity to be a support person for the student whose needs varied from traditional students. Some things that I have helped students with included basic computer skills, academic paper writing and study skills, as well as English pronunciation, reading, and writing (for ESL students). I also facilitated workshops on topics like time management and test anxiety, and assisted in data collection for the RELAAY (Project Recruit and Educate Local At Risk Adults and Youth ) Grant.
