I am a highly experienced Construction Site Manager with over 40 years of management experience running building projects and my own companies across the UK. I worked in the Self Build housing industry for around 15 years, as a House Designer / Site Manager, running my own companies in the North West and Wales. I was the "Grand Designs" (TV programme) Self Build Expert for around 5 years from around 2010, and would attend their large shows twice a year presenting seminars on the main stage and advising self builders on their projects. I have written two books (both available on Amazon): "Self Build Simplified" and "151 Things Every Self Builder Should Know". Around 10 years ago, I was invited by the UK Government to sit on their specialist "Self Build Panel" under Grant Shapps, where our task was to find ways to expend the industry and make it simpler and more accessible. Since then, I have been been designing and building uniquely designed new homes in South Wales.In 2021 I designed a new "fall arrest" cushioning system which, when launched (early 2025), will reduce injuries and save lives across multi industries globally in numerous areas including: Construction / Fire Rescue / Sports / Armed Forces Training / Motorsports (and others). This system has received backing from "The Royal Academy of Engineering" and "Liverpool City Region".I am also overseeing the final project for my "Bespoke House Design / Construction" company in South Wales, where I will be building 4 large detached houses.

I run all day to day operations of this business, including land sourcing & purchase negotiations, design, acquiring planning permission, full site management, health and safety, marketing, website design and upkeep, book keeping and sales.

Prior to starting work as a housing developer, I took on short term roles as Site Manager / Project Manager on various projects, including a £2m fast track student accommodation student digs refurb in Cardiff, and helping to set up a new housing development company, who found out about me, contacted me, and asked me to help them to set up their first development for 18 houses in Mountain Ash..

Created one of the first "modular closed panel" timber frame systems launched in the UK in 2011. Ran the business for 4 years, designing houses for clients and supplying and erecting the modular frame packages around the UK. Employing up to 15 joiners in our factory near Swansea and on site.

Started up and ran a housing development company in South Wales, selling large executive detached homes. - Continued successfully up until the recession and the withdrawal of funds by the banks.

Worked with self builders in the North West to find land, design new homes and project manage the build.
