Duties, Accomplishments, and Related Skills:Served as a student supervisor and assistant to the academy advisor providing instruction to students at the off-campus greenhouse. Helped to plan and manage the annual three-weekend plant sale by selecting the types of plants to start from seed, organizing plants based on type (fruit, vegetable, flower, etc.), coordinating student volunteers, distributing event marketing materials, pricing plants, and programming the cash register, providing customer service to shoppers and serving as the cashier on all plant sale days. Repaired the greenhouse watering system and coordinated watering times based on each plant’s needs.Solicited and coordinated community volunteers to assist with greenhouse projects such as tree removal and produce utilization.
