As the managing editor at MyEducator, a digital textbook publisher, I lead a team of content editors to produce high-quality online textbooks for university students. I work with authors to develop text and supplementary materials for our books, edit and proofread this content, and ensure that all our books are created with sound principles of instructional design. A major aspect of my position is working with universities and partner organizations to direct the development of customized content for academic programs.

I developed a mind-body wellness course for full-time BYU employees. I edited and adapted content from a pre-existing online course for students for an older audience, wrote some of my own content, and developed meaningful assignments and activities to promote overall health and well-being.

I was an intern on the editorial staff for the Ensign, a publication of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with an audience of adult members of the church. I was responsible for writing and editing articles, selecting submissions for publication, creating content for young adults, and giving feedback on articles.

As an intern for a small publishing company based in Salt Lake City, I did some developmental editing and extensive copyediting for 3 nonfiction books by a Christian author. I also gave thorough developmental feedback on books about religious topics to help authors revise manuscripts for clarity and coherence. I have also catalogued ISBN data for 200 books, resulting in greatly increased organization of inventory.

I was a teaching assistant for Anthro 101, which is a social/cultural anthropology class. I was responsible for knowing the course material thoroughly, teaching a lab section, grading papers, and helping students with assignments.
