As VP of Supply Chain and Operations for a global biotechnology company, I am in charge of all activities starting from the raw material and ending at the delivery to our customers. The ability to take a natural ingredient from a tree in Indonesia or South America, get it through our supply chain, and see it end up in a store on 5th avenue in NYC is fascinating and exhilarating. This includes purchasing, manufacturing, agreements with sub-contractors, agreements with feedstock suppliers, all logistics and transportation activities, commercial agreements, agreements with all supplier and IT.
