Assaf Newmark is the founder and principal of Spectrum Consulting https://spectrumprojects.net/. He holds a master’s degree in Construction Management from Southern Polytechnic State University (now, Kennesaw State University) and was accredited the Planning and Scheduling Professional designation (PSP) by AACE International in 2015. His fifteen-year experience in a host of scheduling roles has enabled him to facilitate a variety of services in construction planning and scheduling, cost and resource loading, forensic analysis and stakeholders’ contract considerations pertaining to schedule management. Mr. Newmark is fluent in planning, scheduling and schedule analysis software including Primavera P6, Phoenix Project Manager, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, and Schedule Analyzer as well as project management software including Procore and Bluebeam. His project experience and technical skill facilitate client service offerings to general contractors, owners, construction managers and construction attorneys including at minimum; scheduling specifications for GC LOI bid packages, scheduling language in construction contracts, baseline and completion schedule creation, baseline and routine schedule maintenance 3rd-party schedule review, routine GC schedule management including pull-planning and recovery, procurement management, cost management, owner’s representative schedule review and oversight as well as forensic analysis for delay claims. Mr. Newmark’s construction scheduling experience includes providing scheduling and project controls support on projects within the multifamily, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, automotive, airports, civil and transportation markets. In his functional roles, Mr. Newmark has served as a scheduling manager, project scheduler, and scheduler team member. Mr. Newmark was selected as a featured expert speaker at the 3rd- annual 2020 Advancing Construction Planning & Scheduling Conference where he presented on the topic of improved schedule buy-in with emphasis on varying management profiles.
