Animals have always been a part of my life and have held a special place in my heart. From turtles and squirrels to dogs and cats, I was constantly trying to save these animals from harm and providing them with a safe environment. This is why I am in the process of obtaining an Animal Science degree. I am passionate about treating animals with respect and providing them with the best possible environment, whether it be short term or long term. While working at the Knoxville Zoo, our goal was to provide the animals with the best quality of life by imitating their natural environment, adding enrichment items/foods, and above all else, treating them with respect. This line of work does not only involve working with domesticated or exotic animals, but also humans! Patience, flexibility, good communication, and attentiveness are characteristics I bring to the table to ensure a positive and trustworthy relationship with my patients and coworkers.I love having the ability to help out my furry friends and informing the general public on ways they can help, too!
