Our mission is 'more people volunteering regularly, enjoyably and safely'. My team have successfully developed, launched and now lead on the implementation of Scotland’s Volunteering Action Plan. Over the next 10 years we’ll help channel the combined knowledge, skills and experience of stakeholders across the voluntary, public and private sectors to achieve our shared ambition of ‘Volunteering For All’. Before taking on the role of CEO I was IT and communications manager at Volunteer Scotland. I have acknowledged expertise across Digital Marketing, Market Research, IT Project Management and Data Analysis. I have almost 20 years experience working on strategy and implementation projects for a wide range of public, private and third sector organisations. I have skills that bridge business and technology; communicating needs at board level and often configuring business critical applications. Over the course of my career, I have founded a successful social media agency, delivered digital strategy workshops to hundreds of businesses and lectured to Masters level students. I have a background in International Marketing and until recently I was a visiting lecturer at the University of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian University. I’m also a member of the Market Research Society.
