The first Reykjavík Fashion Festival was held in 2009. The goal of RFF was to draw attention to Icelandic design and the ongoing evolution of the Icelandic fashion industry. An array of foreign and local media, as well as individuals working in the design industry was invited to the event and there they had the opportunity to experience Icelandic design and meet the designers in person. The festival was also tailored to suit anyone that has an interest in the exciting world of Icelandic fashion.
