-Engaged as part of the data/sample collection team for GoA forest inventory plots in natural, pre-burn, and post-burn environments for wildfire simulation modeling, FireSmart technique validation, and prescribed burn severity and recovery monitoring.-Tasked with vegetation identification, dead and down woody debris counts, surface fuel coverage assessment, and tree/canopy measurements using a wide variety of techniques and data collection tools-Provided assistance for the Government of Alberta helicopter infrared proficiency test including nighttime forest navigation by footfor target deployment and collection, test time-keeping and deliverable retrieval. -Aided the overhead for the Junior Forest Ranger annual meetup with event setup/teardown, event timing and adjudication.
