I am a Registered Nurse with over 15 years of public health experience. I have worked in a variety of public health nurse roles at two local public health agencies, and have several years of progressive management experience. Each opportunity has enabled me to build a strong knowledge of the public health mandate, collaborative local and provincial partnerships, and a diverse skill set in nursing. Currently, I lead a multidisciplinary team of public health professionals on the School Health program and serve as the Acting Chief Nursing Officer at the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit. I also maintain National Certification in Community Health Nursing through the Canadian Nurses Association, hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Arts in Leadership, and Certification in Adult Learning and Development. I am committed to ongoing learning and am a long-standing member of several professional associations.In my spare time, I am an avid marathon runner who loves adventure.
