- Passionate presentation and facilitation of high quality interactive science workshops at many different primary schools, holiday programs, and birthday parties throughout Vic, NSW & QLD.- Effective translation of content into various age-appropriate terms the kids can understand, and adjusting language and manner as necessary to accommodate any physical/learning disabilities.- Exceptional general knowledge of science and scientific methods stemming from a lifelong love of science and how it strives to explain why things do what they do; helps with fielding the vast array of questions from kids, and allows for opportunities to educate on good research methods.- Safe handling of hazardous materials around children (eg. dry ice, flame etc), effective communication of hazards to be aware of (eg. electrical cables around classrooms for 3D pens etc) and enforcing WHS measures where necessary (eg. correct handling of spills and breakages etc)- Encouraging and motivating kids to connect with material, offer information they already know, and weaving that into the new content so they can see how scientific concepts are related to each other, thereby understanding the extent of the interconnectedness of many types of science, as well as the different ways in which we observe science in the world around us.- Consistently outstanding feedback from both schools and kids, striving to achieve the ‘light bulb moment’ where all the dots connect up and the kids can grasp the concepts described, and pushing the limits of their knowledge to get them really thinking and connecting with both the workshop content and more general scientific concepts.- Picking / packing in MAS warehouse, safe manual handling, packaging of fragile items etc.

Directing and teaching large groups of school students (preschool-VCE) about the importance of coast care, local geology/palaeontology, rockpooling, and environmental issues, while following WHS policy regarding hazards, eg. rising tides, slippery algae mats, and unstable cliffs.Occasionally involves catering to students with physical/learning disabilities.

· Preparation/supervision of practical experiments for primary/senior/VCE students, including unsupervised safe preparation/handling/storage/disposal of chemicals/hazardous materials in accordance with WHS, school policy and government regulations.· Accessing and updating RiskAssess for MSDS as needed.· Technical tasks such as calibrating/running/filming experiments for remote learning.· Clearing/cleaning/storing equipment, and ordering equipment/chemicals as needed.· Personally devised and implemented digitisation of stock catalogue, involving identifying/organizing /labelling/cataloguing of all laboratory/experiment equipment across multiple prep/storage rooms.
