In Thailand, Astrid promptly got involved with the community. She is a firm believer in Women and Youth Empowerment, and a firm campaigner against Plastic Pollution. As the wife of the Ambassador of Colombia in Thailand, Astrid hosts once a month the “Thai woman leader dinners”. Women are the engine of any society. She has collaborated with many charitable institutions opening opportunities to raise funds through art events. Including art auctions at the World Gala at the National History Museum, at the New Museum in DC, El Museo del Barrio NY, the Hudson River Museum, the Queen's Gallery, and the Chulalongkorn Museum in Bangkok.
