Dr. Nicola Sarzi-Amade is the Engineering Operations Manager at Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Strategic Force Programs. He is a member of the Space Systems Technical Committee of the AIAA, a member of the Balloon Systems Technical Committee, and a member of the Board of Directors/Executive Committee of the Space Tourism Society. Dr. Sarzi-Amade was Co-Chair for the National Space Society’s 33rd International Space Development Conference in May 2014 in Los Angeles, and co-organizer of the Reinventing Space Conference in 2013. Dr. Sarzi-Amade is one of the authors of the bestselling textbook Space Mission Engineering: The New SMAD. He is co-author of several technical publications in astronautics and systems engineering. He is also a certified private pilot. Dr. Sarzi-Amade holds a Ph.D. in Astronautical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
