Hello! I'm Shilpa Bhandari, a dedicated Data Analyst at Kforce Inc, drawing upon a robust foundation in Computer Science and Math from Youngstown State University to drive strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiencies. At Kforce, my role spans from data extraction, where I leverage SQL and API calls to efficiently gather data from over 10 internal and external sources, to refining our ETL processes using R, enhancing both efficiency and data quality across 25 distinct schedule and cost forecast reports. I develop and maintain governance dashboards, ensuring high standards of data integrity through rigorous profiling and quality checks for schedule of 10,000 projects. I also lead the monthly refresh of dashboards and reports that deliver critical insights on schedule and cost metrics to over 700 stakeholders using Power BI and Excel.In addition to my professional duties, I am involved in research projects that apply my data science expertise. One such project involves a collaborative effort at the University of Rochester, where I am co-authoring a study titled "ECG to EG in Acute Heart Failure Patient." Here, I utilize advanced R programming to manage complex data transformations, supporting critical medical research. My work on feature selection for intrusion detection in wireless network using machine learning has also been recognized in academic circles as it was presented at several prestigious conferences.My previous experience includes working with critical legal teams at EY, managing sensitive unstructured data in high-stakes environments.
