Construction and Renovation Project Management

Facilitate the renovation of rooms and corridors of a 3-story, 154 room hotel as the owners representative. Scope of work included new fire sprinkler system, new carpet, wall covering, paint and FF&E.

Attained points required to achieve LEED certification by the USGBC. Responsible for ensuring project is constructed according to plans and specifications. Provide input for contract modifications, scopes of work, and schedules. Coordinate and supervise testing and 3-phase inspections. Review and interpret plans and specifications, resolve problems relative to material and workmanship.

Construction project management providing development services of pre-construction, planning, design & engineering, bidding & negotiation, contract administration, building occupancy & project closeout, and managed the purchasing of FF&E for the $25 million renovation of a nine-story hotel, new construction of the hotel restaurant, and 3-story retail and lofts structure, and new construction of a 9-story $25 million condominium tower.

Provided construction / contract management, FF & E purchasing, building close-out and occupancy for the renovation of a 30 year old 18-story building with 268 rooms into a 4-star hotel.

Provided program management for the State of Florida Department of Management Service as the state’s representative for construction oversight for two correctional facilities’ 543-bed additions of $22.2 million and $19 million.

Responsible for administrative management of concurrent multiple projects ranging in size from $100K to $16 million in the State of new Mexico.

Responsible for capital expenditures and re-furbishing projects in 45 long-term care facilities in six states. Also responsible for state and federal survey results regarding life safety and environmental issues and corporate administrative services, facilities, and operations.

Responsible for day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning of a 15-acre corporate campus of an international long-term healthcare company with 600+ employees located in Albuquerque and 80,000+ throughout the United States. Complete management of construction/design, administrative services, facilities, and operations.
