A decade of experience working as a Higher Education lecturer in English in Japan and translator in the automotive industry in the UK. Bilingual (Japanese native), and English (fluent, native level).Formerly a lecturer in English at Soka University, teaching academic English skills to university students with language abilities varying from basic to advanced. In addition to lecturing duties, I also worked as a coordinator for the English Consultation Room, providing language learning advising services to all university students. This revolves around giving training to advisers for an effective and meaningful consultation, conducting workshops about language learning and English proficiency tests to students, and managing the operational aspects of the centre. Previously worked as a Quality Control Lead at TS Tech UK, a supplier to Honda, in the United Kingdom. As with this role, a central component of my work experience in the UK has revolved around translating business meetings and emails for senior managers, as well as translating technical documents.
