In my time working at BT as a QA Engineer, my main roles were around testing, maintaining and being the subject matter expert of our frontend systems (Adobe Experience Manager - CMS) and how they interact with the backend (API’s) applications to launch new features and improve the overall customer experience.Additional roles and jobs include:- Release organisation and support.-- Regression testing and allocating stories that are due to be released in the next major update.-- Carrying out release support alongside an engineer.- Overnight Automation Regression.-- Confirming automation tests have found no major bugs or performance drops.-- Fix minor test issues where the tests are providing false negatives.- Improving document/testing processes within our team and with 3rd party vendors.- Subject matter expert in systems used by both customers and agents alike.-- Supporting and training new team members/contractors (Both QA and Engineers).-- Supporting broadband and mobile systems and helping identify required test coverage for both systems.-- Identifying potential caveats due to extensive knowledge on intended/unintended use of systems.-- Reviewing other QA testing to confirm all requirements have been met.-- Live Investigation of ongoing problems to help get further understanding of the issue.
