I have also studied the palladium catalysis of ortho-halosulfoximines to form N-arylated sulfoximines and ortho-halo benzothiazines.I have studied the control required for the intermolecular stereoselective michael addition of N-arylated sulfoximines, namely Lithium cation with several additives. I have expanded the scope of a carbon-carbon -anion relay chemistry by facile generation of allyl lithium species.I have contributed in the expansion of the scope of a novel endo 1, 5 migration that results in intramolecular redox reaction and C-H activation. I have studied the generation of fleeting intermediate cyclopentadienone and its use in the formation of Diels-Alder adduct. -

Summer Research FellowNational Chemical Laboratory Apr 2002 - Jun 2002InAs part of my summer fellowship through Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore , I carried out research in the field of heterogeneous catalysis at National Chemical Laboratory, Pune in Dr.S.Shivasankar`s Catalysis group. I and Dr. Venkatathri Narayanan studied the physico-chemical characteristics of metal containing alumino phosphates. We adopted a template to synthesize a Cobalt containing alumino phosphates and tested their redox chemistry by oxidizing ethyl benzene. The results of their physico-chemical characterization of the new materials were published in 2004 through two journal articles.
