As an intern on the Track Standards team at CN, I learned a great deal about the track structure and the critical parameters regarding railway quality and degradation. My main roles consisted of collecting and consolidating multiple track condition and repair history data from various sources using Microsoft Excel. Based on this data, comprehensive reviews and reports were prepared using Power BI dashboards and Power Point presentations. These presentations were reviewed and discussed with a team of engineers in order to develop templates for rail, tie and surfacing programs. Additionally, I got the chance to visit multiple train yards and conduct rail inspections, which further enhanced my railroad knowledge.

As the peer tutor for first and second year civil engineering students at McGill, my role consisted of holding weekly office hours to help with the understanding of core classes including Statics, Thermodynamics, Solid Mechanics and Dynamics. Prior to major evaluations, I organized, prepared and taught large review sessions in class. Additionally, I maintained a webpage that provides students with different resources and updates about my services. This position required often working around different student schedules to ensure effective learning.
