Computing Lecturer In Higher Education
CurrentMy main duty in the organization is to facilitate teaching sessions in line with the approved programme, Computing Programme, and module specifications. I develop and update class notes and other teaching materials on the virtual learning environment.To promote engagement in the class, I develop supplementary resources on different platforms including Slido and Quizziz for quiz preparation, Nearpod and Canva for sharing extracurricular material regarding the Java Programming Language Club and the Python Bootcamp, and Prezi for captivating presentations.I provide students with timely and constructive feedback as appropriate via email communication or by scheduling face-to-face meetings. To promote inclusive education, I allow learners with the opportunity to share opinions, suggestions, and supportive advice regarding the lectures on Padlet.As a module leader, I liaise with the support staff or academic colleagues to ensure the student needs and expectations are addressed and met thoroughly. I co-ordinate the work of others, including associate lecturers to uphold the standards required for the modules I lead. I exercise responsibility for the design and delivery of own modules and assessmentmethods considering established or agreed practice where necessary. I tackle issues affecting the quality of delivery within scope of own level of responsibility, referring more serious matters to Programme Leader (or others as appropriate).As the leader of the Java Programming Language Club, I deliver both online and in-person weekly sessions to learners helping them with establishing the fundamentals of programming aspects.
