I’ve spent my professional life in the (sometimes) crazy world of IT. I’ve done everything from configuring an end user’s mouse curser to look like a dinosaur to architecting and implementing large scale fault tolerant cloud solutions for SMBs, SMEs, and Enterprises. I currently have the distinct pleasure of acting as a Security Evangelist for Hornetsecurity providing technical marketing, pre-sales, and content creation capabilities for the IT community on the company's behalf. Additionally, I’m heavily involved in the wider IT community in a number of different ways, including, podcasts, webinars, blogging and public speaking. Prior to that I spent the last 20+ years providing technology solutions and content generation services across several industry verticals including, education, fortune 500 manufacturing, healthcare and professional services working for MSPs and Internal IT Departments. During that time I’ve become and expert in VMware, Linux, and Network Security, but my big focus over the last 10 years has been in Virtualization, Cloud Services and the Microsoft Server Stack, with an emphasis on Hyper-V, Azure and Office 365.Outside of my day job, I spend a great deal of time working with the IT community. I’m a published technical author with Packt Publishing, a professional speaker and blogger, and have a number of videos that I’ve participated in via Technet Radio, which is syndicated on Microsoft’s Channel 9 website. Additionally I’ve had the great honor of being named a Cloud and Datacenter Management MVP by Microsoft. I have a passion for technology and always enjoy talking about tech with peers, customers and IT pros over a cup of coffee or a cold beer.
