Following 18 months leading a turnaround of GreenAcres Group Ltd, I led the MBO of the business from the parent company and simultaneously a merger with another PE backed business. GreenAcres is a UK- based business offering the core service of the provision of burial and ash plots in a woodland setting and the hire of the buildings for services. GreenAcres now also operates as a ceremonial park and is licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies.

Responsible for developing a portfolio of businesses: Recruitment - Direct Workforce and Direct Search, operating in 6 locations in the UK and Singapore and providing temporary and permanent recruitment solutions to the Logistics, Industrial, Commercial, Shipping and Engineering sectors. Since November 2015, Greenacres Woodland Burials which is a National award winning UK multi-site burial ground operator offering the provision of burial plots, ash plots, ash scattering areas and the hire of the buildings for services.

UK Board Director with key responsibility to lead the Sales and Marketing teams (circa 150 staff). Experience of integrating the two functions to create a market-insight led sales function. Responsible Executive for the successful implementation of a new CRM system and drove a project to significantly extend client retention. Areas of focus - product evolution, focussed regional campaigns, developing and widening route to market and evolving on-line presence.

Responsible for leading the 5 operating companies within the UK Northern Region. Circa 200 employees lending £100m to UK SMEs

My experience leading the operational staff was complemented by 2 years in a targetted sales role in 2005 and I became MD in 2008. I have also built up a comprehensive understanding of the strategic challenges facing UK plc in a wide variety of sectors during my interaction with over 500 Scottish SMEs.
