With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Alkalay leverages a diverse set of skills in planning, curating, and managing large-scale art and design projects in the hospitality, healthcare and corporate industries. Atalya earned two degrees, one in Interior Design from the Accademia Cappiello in Florence, Italy and the second from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, in Display & Exhibit Design. She holds a Fine & Decorative Arts Appraisal Certification from New York University, Appraisers Association of America and American Society of Appraisers. Recently Atalya was awarded a certificate in Art as an Alternative Investment from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.In 2002, Atalya launched her own consulting firm, SmArtArt in Deerfield Beach, Florida. SmArtArt provided art consulting services for residential, hospitality, corporate, and healthcare clientele, offers a collaborative approach through specification, curation and development of art concepts, including customizing art, purchasing of new art and accessories, completed with customized framing and professional installation. Clients include Margaritaville Holdings, Hilton Worldwide, Baptist Health, The Breakers Palm Beach, University of Miami, and many more, including Corporate and Private collectors.After 17 years of uncompromised commitment and consistently earning her clients’ trust to deliver quality service, SmArtArt’s growth attracted the attention of an investor, who purchased SmArtArt in 2019. Atalya remains a proud team member for an additional year, concentrating on the consulting part of the business. With the skills she is gained as a business owner & principal advisor, along with her refined taste and balance of timelessness and trend, Atalya founded AA Fine Art, LLC in 2020– aiming to reach the private sector as a buyer, investment advisor, and fine art appraiser.Recently, Atalya Joined Foundation Art Services as an Art Consultant. She finds this collaboration to be a powerful professional joint venture. Atalya has been living with her husband in Boca Raton Florida for the last 23 years. She has two boys who live in NYC. Atalya enjoys nature and urban travels and exploring culinary tastings with friends and family.
