I have proven my edge by utilizing a mechanical trading system. The discretionary model of my system is based upon a price-based technical analysis approach accompanied by a fundamental reasoning. This system shares a lot of properties that fractal geometry exhibits. As B. Mandelbrot says, " Big changes often come together in a rapid succession [...] then come long stretches of minor changes [...] there is scaling here, too. If you zoom in on an individual cluster of big changes, you find it is made up of smaller clusters. Zoom again, and you find even finer clusters. It is a fractal structure." My trading system is based not on an emotional approach, but on a rare pattern occurrence that keeps repeating itself in time.
