Hello, and thanks for opening my profile and I I hope you too are a Leather Technologist with interest in Chemicals or Sustainability & Green enthusiast like myself. My love for Leather started during my under graduation course I since then have been appreciating the beauty of leather across my 40 years tenure, having worked in two reputed Tanneries and also with renowned Leather Chemical companies. In fact my fascination for leather dates back to my engineering days, at Anna University, Chennai, India which was my prime motivation to learn more and pursue my Masters in Leather Technology. I strongly believe that " There is Nothing Like Leather " By applying science to the knowledge and experience gained I try to ensure that this Natural 3 - D polymeric material is treated responsibly with care & respect to make a Long lasting Eco - Friendly Clean and Green Leather.A small preview of my thoughts and feelings<> Worked in two reputed tanneries - Coromandel Leathers Pvt ltd, a R Y Gaitonde group company, and Forward Leather Company. These tannery experiences laid the strong foundation to a awesome career still going strong. Always tried and checked my unconventional concepts using different raw materials ( traditional EI and Wet-blues - imported & domestic - Goat, Sheep, Cow and Buffalo) and plethora of different chemicals. Conversant with and handled the production of different type of Leathers for Garments, Leather Goods and Shoe Uppers from Glazed finish , Resin finish, Impregnated CG Box Calf Leathers, Pull up , Crazy Horse for numerous international customers and also for the four shoe factories . <> With a fairly sound production knowledge plunged into marketing Leather Chemicals in numerous Leather clusters in India. Each leather cluster is unique and make different leathers based on local or Imported raw materials and cater to different customers both domestic & international. Have the ability to understand the requirements & specifications required and device process and use chemicals to meet & deliver the tanners requirements.<> Chief Executive - Technical in SELLAM Chemicals putting the 40 years of experience & knowledge gained to guide and work with a team to conceptualize, design, make & test innovative chemicals on Leather always ensuring that Leathers can be made easily & consistently in a Clean Green Eco-Friendly and Sustainable manner meeting tanners quality requirements and specification.I would love to educate everyone about ways of making leather, and strive towards a greener, sustainable future.
