To identify relevant digital agricultural tools for assessment, a comprehensive landscape survey was conducted. This survey identified approximately 170 distinct digital solutions related to agriculture in Bangladesh. These tools were then categorized based on their primary sectors (crops, livestock, fisheries, or a combination), as well as their solution categories (advisory services, weather information, diagnostics, market linkages, etc.).The study team then analyzed the accessibility of these tools, considering the channels through which they were available (mobile phones, smartphones, computers, sensors, satellites, apps, web platforms, SMS, call centers, IVR systems, etc.). A scoring system was employed to quantify the tools' performance across various factors, including accessibility, usefulness, support, and enabling features.Following predefined shortlisting criteria and project objectives, the top 20 agricultural solutions were identified. Subsequently, 6 tools were further shortlisted for assessment through user testing and feedback. The team sent invitations to these tools, and 4 of them expressed interest in participating in the survey and shortlisting process.Finally reached 20 and conducted a user experiences survey with 120 users from 4 selected tools providing advisory to the farmers including women via APPs, SMS, IVR, and Call Center-based digital agriculture services to understand women's inclusion. Managed a team responsible to facilitate the adoption of DFS mainly B2P, P2P & B2B by USAID implementing partners (IPs) with regard to making the transition away from cash through awareness raising, capacity building, technical assistance, DFS assessment, dialogue facilitation, grants & many other supports. Designed and managed the transition with a number of USAID projects in Bangladesh. Introduced two completely new DFS innovations to provide different ag-value chain actors with microcredit, savings, merchant payments and directly contributing to the UN SDGs. Worked on designing and facilitating of various technical workshops for USAID IPs and town hall meetings for RMG factories on DFS adoption and financial literacy targeting smallholder farmers, community health workers, Aub Assistant Agriculture Officers (SAAOs), and RMG workers.Over 24,000 individuals have been enrolled in digital financial service accounts, most of whom were previously unbanked.
