Supporting the M&E department at NCAJ with routine monitoring, collection, evaluation, analysis and reporting of data from the different state and non-state agencies within the justice sector in Kenya. My role as a consultant at NCAJ is pivotal in aiding the agency realize its core mandate of ensuring a Coordinated and Consultative Administration of Justice by unifying key actors to collectively develop and pursue reform priorities and strategies.

I am tasked with overseeing the development of new databases, monitoring database performance and interpreting raw data and turning it into usable feedback and applications. I also take part in assessment of newly developed curriculum modules for certification courses offered remotely at KINA Data solutions.

UHRS is "a crowdsourcing system that facilitates data labeling for several AI application scenarios." UHRS employees are viewed as "judges" who are able to "label (data) at scale." On this website, you can perform activities including transcribing voice, determining the relevance of search results, annotating data for search relevance, and annotating video and image data for machine learning. I frequently worked on projects that helped online search engines function better by classifying and confirming the accuracy of online content. Data labeling tasks on UHRS need a human eye and can't be done by computers with reliability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Built an online database of partners, reports and data gathered to assess potential programs to counter violence against women and children; Provided regular updates to internal and external partners on the progress of potential new programs in the region; Drove research to support expansion projects in the Africa and Europe region; Aided with planning, organizing and facilitating meetings with partners, workshops, trainings and travel for the Regional Vice President, Strategic Partnerships (RVPSP) and other IJM staff visiting new program locations; Developed and tracked projects for the design and delivery of potential new programs and partnerships; Prepared presentations and recommendations from program assessments for the Regional Vice President, Strategic Partnerships (Africa & Europe region).IMPACT As an intern at International Justice Mission (IJM), I helped in numerous baseline desk research projects which greatly advanced the organization’s vision by helping expose the inhumane acts in the Cocoa Industry in West Africa. Through the research, Human Trafficking, which happens to be the biggest threat in the Cocoa chain in West Africa was exposed and appropriate measures adopted pursuant to the Human Rights Act, to save minors from human trafficking. Additionally, my participation in the Violence Against Girls and Women (VAWC) initiative targeting Malawi and Zambia greatly fortified data previously collected by IJM hence broadening the knowledgebase of the assessment team prior to execution of the Program in both Countries. Through the online database I developed, the regional team, led by the RVPSP, found it a seamless process accessing the different partners hence building more partnerships across the region within a short time and without any loss of crucial data. All the targeted projects and partnerships were realized in time courtesy of well-developed and monitored project designs.
