Arco is the co-founder of Community Hypotheken and now acts as its managing director. He is responsible for the origination and underwriting of buy-to-let mortgage loans, specifically in relation to the Casarion Verhuurhypotheek. Before starting Community Hypotheken, Arco worked in the private equity sector, where he worked on private investments in solar energy and other renewable energy sources. In 2014 he assumed a responsibility for the equity strategy of HKB Bank, a small mortgage bank in Frankfurt am Main. In 2015 and 2016 Arco also originated Dutch real estate loans for HKB Bank. From 2017 to 2022 Arco has been a member of HKB Bank's Audit Committee and Advisory Board.Previous to his roles in the financial services industry, Arco worked for more than 15 years with PwC Sustainability in Amsterdam. There he headed PwC’s Sustainability Reporting and Assurance practice. From 2017 to 2021, Arco was a partner with Sustainalize, a management consulting firm that specialises in sustainability and corporate social responsibility with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. His academic background is in business administration and business ethics.
