ROSH Engineering is one of the leading transformer engineers in its field. Providing services to repair, refurbish, install and commission power transformers.At ROSH Engineering my position was project engineer/manager. This involved quoting for enquiries received which included time management and calculating budgetary/firm costing. I used computer software tools such as Microsoft project, AutoCad and Mindmanager to help in production of technical and commercial tenders, whilst also visiting the client to sell the service offered.After receiving a purchase order for quoted works I would ensure the projects were completed to deadlines set by the customer. In managing the project I would meet clients to establish project requirements, health and safety requirements, and site accessibility. Using the information gathered to aid in the derivation of a Work Method Statement and Risk Assessment. This would be delivered to clients prior to work on site to allow the client to review the work to be carried out and the safety precautions that would be taken.At ROSH engineering, there are 8 office staff and 27 on-site staff. The on-site staff would need briefing on the works to be completed for the different projects and where all the components for the project were. Good communication with the site staff was critical to ensure the project ran as planned.I would also assist other project managers in order to order to successfully complete large value orders, whether this was internal assistance, or providing a site presence for customers whilst the necessary works was carried out.Companies that I have managed projects for are: Edf Energy, BP, ExxonMobil, Corus and Egger.
