I am a strategic communications specialist and former journalist and political staffer with more than 15 years’ experience across the government, commercial and not-for-profit sectors. I completed my journalism cadetship at The West Australian after working as a reporter across regional Western Australia. After covering general news and Higher Education at The West, and driven by my deep interest in elevating the profile of gender equality, I took on a role in Federal Parliament as a media and policy adviser, where I worked primarily on the Status of Women portfolio. I have acted as a comms adviser at not-for-profits Minderoo and Youth Focus, as well as at GT Communications - a business I am thrilled to have returned to after a period of time living in Tuscany teaching yoga and consulting, and then working in State Government.I am a qualified and practicing yoga teacher and have a special interest and further qualifications in pre and post-natal, trauma-informed approaches and adaptation of yoga across the life stages. I am currently completing studies in Nutrition and Public Health, in which I have a strong interest.I have working proficiency in Italian.
