I am a Cardiologist with a special interest in Pulmonary Hypertension (PH).I am currently working as a Consultant in the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Unit at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, UK, which is one of the 7 designated, tertiary, referral centres for adults with PH in the UK. In our unit, we receive more than 800 new PH referrals per year from a large geographical area and we follow-up nearly 1,500 patients with the whole range of PH types (most of them on PAH targeted therapies). My research/clinical interests within the PH spectrum focus on echocardiography and cardiopulmonary exercise testing, as well as cardiovascular risk factors and heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.I also take an active role in the Heart Failure Service, based at the Northern General Hospital, Sheffield, looking after patients with all types of heart failure (clinics/ward rounds).
