I received my Diploma Degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, Greece in 2002, with specialization field in Electronics and Computers and my Diploma Thesis was entitled “Development and evaluation of a 3G Transceiver utilizing the Rake Receiver” In 2010, I received my PhD from the same Department. My Thesis, entitled “Study, analysis and implementation of channel estimation algorithms for HIPERLAN/2 Protocol”, dealt with the analysis, and implementation of novel coarse and exact channel estimation algorithms for OFDM systems. The results were published extensively in more than 20 scientific conferences and journals providing more than 50 citations. My PhD studies were financially supported from scholarships that came both from private sector companies, period 2002-2004 from Theta Micro S.A. (www.thetamicro.com), and public sector organizations, period 2004-2007 from General Secretariat of Research and Technology (www.gsrt.gr).For the period from August 2007 to August 2008, I served my obligatory military service in the Greek Navy.Since September 2008, I have been working as an Engineer in the Baseband Team of Intracom Defense Electronics (www.intracomdefense.com). My responsibilities are focused on the research, and development of wireless communication products: from wireless channel modelling and RF channel emulators programming to signal processing algorithm modelling and DSP implementation, and from lower MAC DSP implementations to system integration.
