I have been in M.J. Maillis Single Member S.A. for more than 15 years and I had the opportunity to perform a challenging and multifaceted role in my company. Starting my career in Quality Control department, I gained a deep knowledge in quality control methods of steel and plastic (PP & PET) strapping as packaging materials. The customer's complaints handling, the evaluation of competitor's products and customer's technical support are some of the main tasks which were performed and continuously improved during my presence in the specific department. My long experience in steel technical specifications contributed to the discovery of new raw materials and the cooperation of our company with steel mills worldwide. As REACH Coordinator, I contributed to the successful and timely pre-registration and subsequent final registration of the metal or plastic substances contained in the raw materials of MAILLIS Group's products. Within my duties was also the support of all the production units of MAILLIS GROUP concerning harmonization of suppliers with REACH regulation requirements or Customer’s questions related with the fulfillment of our products with the specific regulation.Following my professional development in this department, I took on the management of Quality (ISO 9001), Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001 & ISO 45001) and Environment (ISO 14001) Systems. My focus as a QHSE Manager, apart from the implementation and development of these systems, is to make sure those QHSE ideas and ethics are accepted within the entire organization. Furthermore, my aim is to excite and mentor the QHSE team to expand capabilities and boost the profile of the QHSE function within the business. The last two years as a Sustainability coordinator in Maillis S.A. I am responsible for the development of Sustainability initiatives, towards the economic viability, environmental protection, and social equity. In collaboration with Quality Net foundation, I contributed to the participation of our company in the GREEK SUSTAINABILITY CODE which provides a structured system with regards to the transparency and commitment of businesses towards Sustainable Development and Responsible Entrepreneurship. I am particularly pleased for the participation of "Maillis Metals Solutions" in the initiative "The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece" which aims to highlight companies that contribute to the strengthening of Sustainability principles in Greece.
