Received his BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, in 2005. In 2006, he received his M.Sc. degree in Digital Signal & Image Processing from the University of Central Lancashire. In 2009 he obtained his second M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering held by the University of Patras and the National Technical University of Athens (N.T.U.A.). In 2015 received his PhD from National Technical University of Athens. Since 2011, he is a member of the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory of N.T.U.A. He is working as a medical informatics researcher in the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS). Since then he has been active in a number of European and National R&D programs in the field of Information and Telecommunications Technologies in Healthcare. His current research interests comprise Bioinformatics, Biosignal Processing, Digital Image Processing and technologies for assisted living. Over the past 5 years, he has authored over 30 publications in international conferences and journals in the field of biomedical engineering, and has developed expertise while working in numerous research projects. I am self-sufficient, highly resourceful and able to meet stringent deadlines. My main responsibility at NTUA is to run EU Projects in the Healthcare ICT domain.I have shown great strength at developing business ideas around EU research topics and have participated in countless proposals of all kinds in all stages (draft idea, proposal development, budgeting, organization, write-up, internal review, submission) on a national, European and international level. He is a Member of IEEE, EMBS Society and Computer Society, IET and a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE). I am also member of the Applied Informatics in mHealth research group, which uses research results produced within the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory and helps them find their way to the market.
